Owned and operated by the energetic, down-to-earth and trend making team of Zoey and Ruthie, the LITTLEbird project grew out of their shared desire to help fashion forward kids, teens and parents learn the essentials of a versatile, individual and enviable year-round wardrobe.

ZOEY WASHINGTON

For the past ten years, Zoey has been earning her fashion cred in the editorial departments of Marie Claire, Elle Accessories, Shop Etc and Vogue. When she isn’t navigating Manhattan’s best-kept secret thrift stores, rhinestoning old sweaters or collecting vintage jewelry- Zoey moonlights as fashion editor and illustrator for a major women's fashion magazine.  You can also catch her fashion tidbits every month in Life and Style Magazine.

RUTHIE SCHULDER 

Ruthie has  the enviable and encyclopedic knowledge of New York’s ultimate fashion destinations which only comes with having lived and worked in Manhattan for over a decade. She took her fashion direction from an early career in the entertainment industry, including music management and film production at Saturday Night Live.  When she isn’t knee deep in cocktail dresses and platform shoes, Ruthie somehow finds times to own and manage muffin tin productions- her own line of mouth-watering gluten free baked goods.

Ruthie Loves:

 

  • Vintage concert tees. Used and circa 1971? Sold!
  • Traveling to exotic places and managing to leave RIGHT before a disaster
  • Murray from Flight of the Concords. Genius
  • Buying and returning many pairs of boots every fall when, with out fail, she falls in love all over again with her trusty old leathers
